Camp Creative is a ministry of University United Methodist Church designed to foster children's interest in the arts and connect their creativity to Christian faith. The camp runs all day Monday through Friday, July 27- July 31, from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Drop-off is from 8:15-8:30am and pick-up is 4:15-4:30pm. Children entering Kindergarten through Fifth grades are eligible to attend. Note: entering Kindergarteners must have attended full-day PreK to be eligible.

Camp programming includes games, recreation, devotional time, and instruction in music, theater, culinary, fiber, and visual arts.

All camp volunteers and staff undergo criminal background screening and child abuse prevention training.

The Gallery Showcase of students' art and musical and theatrical performance is scheduled for Friday, July 31 at 5:00pm. You won’t want to miss it!

All materials and supplies, a camp t-shirt, as well as lunch, morning, and afternoon snacks are included in the registration fee.

COST: The actual cost of providing Camp Creative is $300 per student. However, we know that might be prohibitive for some families. We want to make the camp accessible to all young artists and ask that you register your child and pay according to your means. If you are registering more than one child, we encourage you to give yourself a family discount by paying one amount for one child and a lower amount for the additional child(ren).

Payment options: $300, $250, $200, $150, $75.

You may also make a donation to underwrite the cost for another family.
Registration fills up quickly. Once all spaces are filled, we will start a waitlist. Deadline to register is June 30, 2026.

Pick-Up Policy

Children will only be released to an approved adult.

Only adults presenting valid photo identification matching the names listed below will be permitted to pick up a child from camp.

Policies & Releases

You've made it to the fine print!

Participation Policy: I give permission for my child to participate in any church-sponsored activity that my child attends. I further give permission for my child to ride with a driver who has been certified through the church during those activities. I understand that with any activity, including transportation, there is a chance of injury to person or damage to property. Notwithstanding that risk, I release, relieve and hold harmless University United Methodist Church / Funkytown Music Academy, its employees, members, and volunteers (including drivers) from any and all liabilities, including liability resulting from injury to person or damage to property, arising out of my child’s participation in a church-sponsored activity.

I have read, understood, and agree to this policy.

Emergency Policies: I understand that I will be notified in the case of a medical emergency involving my child. If onsite supervision deems necessary, I authorize the calling of a doctor and/or the providing of necessary medical services in the event my child is injured or becomes ill. I understand that University United Methodist Church will not be responsible for medical expenses incurred but that it will be my responsibility as parent/guardian. I hereby release University United Methodist Church / Funkytown Music Academy, its staff and volunteers of any liability in the event of accident or injury. I agree to notify University United Methodist Church in the event of any health changes which would restrict my child’s participation in any activities.

Photography and Publicity

Photography release: I hereby grant University United Methodist Church and Funkytown Music Academy permission to use and publish photographs, film, video, electronic representations and/or sound recordings made of my child for any promotional or marketing purposes (such as UUMC newsletters, brochures, websites, and social media). I hereby release UUMC and Funkytown Music Academy from any and all liability from such uses and publications.

Payment

Camp Enrollment: I understand payment of camp fee is required at registration, and registration is not considered complete until payment is received. I understand that $50 of tuition is non-refundable once paid. No refunds will be issued after July 1, 2025. Spots for Camp Creative are limited. The actual cost of providing Camp Creative is $300 per artist. However, we are offering a sliding scale so that camp is accessible for all artists. Please register your child and pay according to YOUR means. If you are registering more than one child, we encourage you to give yourself a family discount by paying one amount for one child and a lower amount for the additional child(ren). Payment options: $300, $250, $200, $150, $ 75 plus a $5 processing fee if paying with debit or credit card. If additional assistance is required, contact amao@uumcfw.com.
