2025 Camp Creative Student Volunteer Application

July 28-August 1; 8:00am-5:00pm | Eligible applicants must be at least 12 years old and have completed sixth grade.
Camp Creative is a week-long day camp for elementary age kids. It is designed for young artists to explore five genres of creativity: fiber arts, cooking, music, theater, and visual arts. Camp Creative is also camp, so kids will have fun making new friends, playing games, eating snacks, exploring their faith, dancing and much more! Camp Creative is a United Methodist day camp, and Bible lessons will be taught in a welcoming environment throughout the week. University United Methodist Church is an inclusive congregation and believes everyone has a place in the church.

We select a limited number of students to volunteer and assist in the leadership of Camp Creative. Student Volunteers will be responsible for helping young artists explore the creative arts by assisting one of the five creative sessions, leading campers through other sessions of camp, being a positive role model for young children, helping maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants, and assisting in the "behind the scenes" operations of Camp Creative. Student Volunteers will share responsibility with adult leaders while learning important leadership and work skills from them.

Student Volunteers will commit to attending all five days of camp from 8:00am-5:00pm, three pre-camp meetings, and MinistrySafe/camp training to help prepare Volunteers to safely work with children. Dates and times will be announced ASAP.

Applications must be completed by April 22 to be considered for an in-person interview. Interviews will be held May 20-22 & 27-30. If you have questions, please contact Haley Bryant at hbryant@uumcfw.com or 817-926-4626. We look forward to receiving your application!
